ECONOMY CLASS
Fiji airways meals are included in the price of your airline ticket. Economy class passengers should expect two meal services on longer routes to the USA and Hong Kong and on shorter flights expect a hot meal or snack.
SPECIAL MEALS
Special meals on Fiji Airways can be booked during the booking process or by contacting the airline’s reservations department.
Meals require at least 48 hours notice, and you can order the following meals:
IATA Code: chml
The CHML, or Children’s Meal, is an airline meal code used to request food for young travelers, typically aged between 2 to 12 years.
IATA Code: DBML
The DBML or Diabetic Meal should be ordered by those who suffer from diabetes (high sugar levels). It’s a low sugar meal that contains minimal salt, low-fat products, grilled white meat, high fibre fruits and vegetables, cereals and diabetic friendly products like sugar-free jam.
IATA Code: FPML
The FPML or Fruit Platter meal may be ordered by people who are fasting, or perhaps vegan/gluten-free options are not available and this special meal fits the requirement. Generally, the FPML will contain fresh seasonal fruit only, and it may contain dried fruit without sulphites.
IATA Code: KSML
The KSML or Kosher Meal is a meal where the food is chosen, prepared and served in accordance with Jewish religious guidelines. The meals are packaged in double wrapping which allows the meals to be heated in the aircraft oven that is non-kosher.
IATA Code: GFML
The GFML or Gluten-Free meal is designed for those who suffer from celiac disease or can’t tolerate gluten in their diet. Grains such as wheat, rye, oats, bran and barley are eliminated from these special meals as well as flours starches and semolina.
IATA Code: MOML
The MOML or Muslim is a meal that is prepared in accordance with the Islamic tradition and custom. No Haram (forbidden) products will be used in these meals including pork products, gelatin, alcohol, extracted flavouring from alcohol and non-halal prepared meats.
IATA Code: VJML
The VJML or vegetarian Jain is a meal option for passengers who are part of the Jain community.
IATA Code: VGML
The VGML or vegetarian meal is a meal option for passengers who wish to consume meals free of animal products. Vegans and vegetarians can order this option on their next flight, it is quite a standard meal option that is widely available for you to pre-order.
BUSINESS CLASS
In business class, the airline has worked with Castaway Island Resort executive chef Lance Seeto to create inflight meals while local Fiji Rum cocktails and mocktails are served.
Expect long haul business class service, to begin with, a starter, followed by three main meal choices plus salad and one option for dessert.
The breakfast service offers you a choice of cooked breakfast options or a lighter option. You can mix and match your breakfast order with the cabin crew.
Lounge Dining
Business-class customers now have the option to eat in the lounge before their flight, to maximise their onboard rest.
There will still be food available to you during your flight, including options such as fruit, paninis, salad, tapas, and soup.
Meals will be served at the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge shortly before boarding.
Breakfast options will include barista-made coffee, made-to-order breakfast items, a full bakery and a wide selection of fresh fruit juices.
For dinner, signature dishes designed by Fiji Airways executive in-house and guest chefs are on offer.
There’s also signature cocktails, mocktails, a full-service bar and the exclusive ‘Fiji Bean Cart’.
This dining concept is available on the following flights:
- Nadi – Christchurch.
- Nadi – Hong Kong.
- Nadi – Wellington (mid-morning service).
- Nadi – Sydney (mid-morning service).
- Nadi – Brisbane (mid-morning service).
- Supper (flights over 6 hours): À la carte light dining, followed by a full breakfast.
- Nadi – Los Angeles.
- Nadi – San Francisco.
