The Norwegian Air food menu works on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Norwegian lists pre-ordered meals and onboard snacks as optional extras, and on longer flights you can pre-order a hot meal.

You can pre-order online up to 36 hours before departure, on most international flights over 2 hours 15 minutes.

Norwegian says you can also pre-order in its app. The meal includes a hot main and a sweet dessert.

A pre-ordered meal costs between 10.90 and 12.90 per person each way.

Norwegian’s optional service charges aren’t refundable or transferable.

Drinks aren’t included, so you can buy soft drinks, water, beer, wine, coffee and tea onboard.

For example, the wrap and the cheese sandwich aren’t served on international flights shorter than 2 hours 15 minutes.

Paninis are prepared to order, so they can take a little longer. Items can sell out.
