This review forms part of my recentย Air Franceย experience flying from Paris to Athens via Bucharest. I decided that I wanted to try out Tarom the Romanian based airline, and it ended up being quite a lovely experience.

ON THE GROUND

Before departure I was offered a choice of welcome drinks and I opted for a glass of wine.

Here’s a picture of the cabin, you donโ€™t generally come across real business class seats on flights within Europe.

INFLIGHT

Immediately after takeoff, the crew provided a drinks menu and a warm refresher towel and took my drink order.

I wasnโ€™t expecting a lot of food on a flight of only 1hr and 25mins, nor was I anticipating printed inflight menus and pre-meal drink service.

Soon after the crew member delivered my drink, she came back with my main meal.

The starter included hummus with cucumber, a cheese plate and milk pudding. The main meal was Chinese beef with broccoli, bok choy and noodles.Thereโ€™s nothing glamorous about this inflight meal tray, but the quantity of food offered for such a short flight is fantastic. I was not expecting it, the crew were happy and friendly, the food was good and served hot. The main dish was a little heavy, but overall a good experience and not what I was expecting!
