This review forms part of my recent Air France experience flying from Paris to Athens via Bucharest. I decided that I wanted to try out Tarom the Romanian based airline, and it ended up being quite a lovely experience.
ON THE GROUND
Before departure I was offered a choice of welcome drinks and I opted for a glass of wine.
Here’s a picture of the cabin, you don’t generally come across real business class seats on flights within Europe.
INFLIGHT
Immediately after takeoff, the crew provided a drinks menu and a warm refresher towel and took my drink order.
I wasn’t expecting a lot of food on a flight of only 1hr and 25mins, nor was I anticipating printed inflight menus and pre-meal drink service.
Soon after the crew member delivered my drink, she came back with my main meal.
The starter included hummus with cucumber, a cheese plate and milk pudding. The main meal was Chinese beef with broccoli, bok choy and noodles. There’s nothing glamorous about this inflight meal tray, but the quantity of food offered for such a short flight is fantastic. I was not expecting it, the crew were happy and friendly, the food was good and served hot. The main dish was a little heavy, but overall a good experience and not what I was expecting!
