FOX: What’s New Long Haul

FOX (Future Onboard eXperience) is Lufthansa’s redesign of its long-haul service across all four classes.

Business Class received it from 6 May 2026, as part of a staged rollout.

What is Lufthansa FOX?

Lufthansa’s Future Onboard eXperience, a redesign of its long-haul onboard service across all four classes, rolling out in stages from spring 2026. Business Class received it from 6 May 2026.

What is Sky Selection?

A second meal you choose flexibly, separate from the main service. Options range from currywurst to lighter bowls and sweet treats.

Can I pre-order my Lufthansa Business Class meal?

Yes, from four weeks to 24 hours before departure, with six main dishes to choose from. It has been available on flights from Frankfurt and Munich since August 2023, and since 1 September 2026 on most long-haul routes back to Germany. Book through “Manage Booking” on lufthansa.com or a travel agent, at no extra charge.

Are Lufthansa Business Class meals free on European flights?

Yes. European Business Class includes the regional Heimat menu program and full beverage service at no extra cost.

Can I choose my breakfast in advance?

Yes. On long-haul flights under FOX, you can pre-select your breakfast before you sleep, so it’s ready when you wake
