Review: The EVA Air Hello Kitty Experience Economy Class

Take a look at our eva air hello kitty meals review flying from Paris to Taipei onboard the Hello Kitty Jet! Inflight Feed- The airline food blog!

This experience was one of the quirkiest flights I’ve ever taken, the Eva Air Hello Kitty jets are certainly an experience to remember. Hello Kitty’s face is featured everywhere on this aircraft, from the fuselage to your inflight meal and even the toilet paper. You can find out where these Hello Kitty jets operate here.

I booked a seat on the first Hello Kitty operated flight from Paris to Taipei and before the flight, the airline hosted a media event and tour of the aircraft before departure.I’ve since flown the Eva Air Hello Kitty Jet and you can read that experience here.

INFLIGHT

I pre-arranged the special kids’ meal before my flight and waited in anticipation for it during the meal service. The product is colourful and quite large, the cutlery offered is also branded with Hello Kitty.

The first meal consisted of pasta, and meatballs served with a potato salad, fresh fruit, chocolates, and a chocolate brownie.Instantly noticeable is the Hello Kitty face stamps on the fruit and vegetables, it’s impressive that the inflight caterer is involved in preparing the Hello Kitty dishes. The production of these meals is a closely guarded secret and neither the caterer nor the Sanrio brand will explain the process involved.

Economy class meals aren’t immune to Hello Kitty, whilst certainly not as over the top as the kids’ meal, you are still provided with Hello Kitty placemats and cutlery. The chicken with rice and seasonal vegetable option was tasty and quite good for an economy class meal.

Before landing in Taipei the second meal service also included another Hello Kitty meal for me. It was a pancake with chicken served with a pasta salad, fresh fruit, chocolates and orange juice.I think most kids will enjoy these meals they are creative, colourful and entertaining, and there’s a generous amount of food provided. The experience is cuteness overload, a fun and entertaining flight that certainly appeals more to younger travellers and those young at heart.
